Mindfulness
Being mindful is about being awake and completely present in each moment of our lives - fully engaged in whatever is happening around us and within us. By bringing an attitude of curiosity, acceptance, and friendliness to whatever is experienced, rather than being judgmental and critical, our wellbeing and performance improve, and life becomes richer and more satisfying.
When we are not focused on something specific, our mind tends to wander. It begins to operate on ‘automatic pilot’, and starts scanning for problems in the past and future, often getting caught up in judgment and self-criticism. The brains fear centre (amygdala’) becomes activated which leads to stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental and physical health problems. See more...

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a logical and practical approach to help people with emotional problems such as anxiety, depression, and behavioural concerns. In simplistic terms, it is about identifying the thoughts and beliefs that lead to distress, then exploring and re-evaluating those thoughts to develop more constructive thinking. It's not so much what happens in our lives, but how we think about it that determines our response. CBT can be extremely empowering and bring lasting relief within a relatively short time.
Solution-Focussed Therapy
As the name suggests, solution-focused therapy is about focusing on solutions, rather than problems. Rather than spending a lot of time talking about and analysing the problem, this therapy helps you explore solutions that would bring realistic, and reasonable relief as quickly as possible.
Narrative Therapy
We all have stories about ourselves, our abilities, our struggles, our competencies, actions, desires, work, interests, achievements, failures and so on. How these stories develop is determined by how we link certain events together and the meaning we attribute to them, rather than objective fact. Narrative therapy views problems as separate from people and seeks to understand and explore alternative stories to 're-author' current ones in a more helpful way.
Neuro-Linguisitc Programming (NLP)
NLP encompasses the three most influential components of human experience: neurology, language and programming. The neurological system regulates how our bodies function, language determines how we communicate with ourselves and others, and our programming determines how we view the world. A basic premise of NLP is that is not possible for humans to know objective reality and all meaning is created through our experiences. It seeks to increase flexibility, perception and choice.
