Do something today that your future self will thank you for.

Talk to me today

Perhaps, like many of my other clients you were referred by a friend, colleague, or doctor. Perhaps you have just stumbled upon my site via a google search. Either way, choosing the right psychologist is a big decision and I thank you for considering me.

As you've no doubt discovered, mental health is a very broad field encompassing a range of highly qualified professionals using a myriad of therapies. Before you make an appointment with me (or anyone), I'd like you to think about what you'd like to achieve, and who is the best person to help you accomplish that right now.

My area of expertise is personal growth and development, with a focus on relationships (of all kinds), but particularly your relationship with yourself. Years of experience, working with literally thousands of clients, has shown me that our relationship with ourselves is central to most problems, including depression, anxiety, stress,  weight, motivation, sleep,  and head chatter - just to name a few.

I'm actually quite a geek, and find personal development fascinating! I absolutely love what I do, never complain about going to work, and actually enjoy spending my free time developing and refining new frameworks, systems, and strategies (weird, I know!) but I believe you deserve the best.

Like all good, healthy, personal relationships, it's important that we are a match. Research shows that successful therapy is based on good therapeutic relationships (i.e. If you don't feel comfortable with your psychologist or counsellor, it's unlikely that you'll get the best results - no matter how qualified they are). That's why I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation where you can briefly outline your aims, learn about my approach, and ask questions to be certain that I am the best therapist to help you right now.

I understand that it can be difficult to take that first step, but if you're still reading and think I might be able to help you move forward, I urge you to consider taking a chance - pick up the phone, send us an email, or just book an appointment. You might just find there is actually an easy, simple solution to your problem - even if you think you've already tried everything. Helping you to find the solution that is right for you is my job. Imagine your peace of mind, as you walk out of our first session, feeling relieved and confident that you are now heading in the right direction. You will wonder why you didn't make an appointment much sooner!

I genuinely look forward to meeting you in the very near future and finding out how I can help you.

Best wishes,

Deborah

"Counselling has been very helpful. We have been able to discuss many issues in a calm and non-confrontational environment. We have also been able to agree on actions and a way forward for areas that have been a stumbling block for us for many years. We like Deborah and find her very professional and balanced."

What is Anxiety?

Anxiety is more than just feeling worried or stressed. We all feel stressed or get worried from time to time and those feelings usually pass once the stressor is removed. For a person experiencing anxiety, these feelings cannot be easily controlled and can be quiet debilitating.
